Rather worn Late Saxon or Anglo-Scandinavian D-shaped copper alloy buckle frame with a thin and distorted bar and a large Borre-style animal head in the centre of the outside edge. The surface of the metal is dull purplish. Length and width 20 and 21.4mm. Thickness 2.6mm. Weight 2.39g. 10th century.
