A post-Medieval copper-alloy spur rowel.
The rowel takesre point of the rowel. the form of a five-pointed star, with a narrower, pointed, projection separating each arm from the next. A sub-circular perforation is located close to the centre of the rowel. A black substance coats the surface of the object.
