Post Medieval, 16th century, copper alloy thimble with stamped decocation, AD.1520-1600. The thimble is missing the top and has been flattened. There are two bands of rouletted decoration separated by a band of repeated concentric circular designs. The upper half of the thimble is covered in a spiral of hand punched indentations, at the start of the spiral there is a small sickle like stamp, possibly a makers mark. This is a light decorated thimble made in Nuremburg.See Holmes 1988, for parallels.
