A silvered copper-alloy radiate of Probus, dating to the period AD 276-282 (Reece Period 14). CLEMENTIA TEMP reverse depicting the emperor on the left, standing right, holding a sceptre surmounted by an eagle and receiving a globe from Jupiter, who stands on the right, faces inwards and holds a vertical sceptre. Probably Mint of Antioch. RIC V, pt 2, p. 120, no. 921. The mintmark, ? // XXI, is unclear, but the obverse legend is only recorded for XXI mintmarks at Antioch (rather than Tripolis). If there is a V between the figures, the coin would be from Cyzicus, but the style appears wrong for this mint (Gloucester pl. 51, no. 1615).

Diameter: 22.7 mm; thickness: 1.3 mm. Weight: 2.52 g.
