An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650).
The pin is missing.
This buckle frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each oval loop is similar in size and internally bevelled at the front. There is a cut or break in one of the loops. The bar is triangular in cross-section.
The frame is green with patches of a darker green patina.
Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1350-c. 1650 AD (Whitehead 2003: 53).
