Iron age copper alloy strap junction, 58mm long, 37mm wide and 4mm thick. The object weighs c.50 grams, has a green patina and is complete except for a small chip at one end. The object is diamond shaped with a circle in the centre. This is subdivided into three lentoid shaped recesses, two are filled with red enamel, which surround a central triangle that has a glass like blue/red residue. This is flanked by two large and two small triangular perforations, which give each side of the border a curved inner edge. This border is decorated with recessed triangles which have lines scratched into their surface as though to key in a filling. The reverse is plain and has two rectangular fixing loops which are 21mm long, 5mm in diameter and protrude 5mm from the surface.
