A copper alloy Roman coin; a nummus of Constantine II (AD 317 - 340), dating from AD 330 - 335 (Reece Period 17), GLORIA EXERCITVS reverse type depicting two soldiers holding two standards. Probably Mint of Trier. See LRBC number 49 on page 5. The coin is 17.5mm diameter, 1.3mm thick. 1.47g. The coin has been neatly pierced at 1o'clock on the obverse, to avoid damaging the emperor's bust. This may have been done in the Roman period or later.
