A plated silver contemporary copy of a radiate of Philip I (AD 244-249), dating to the period c.AD 244-249 (Reece period 12). VICTOR AETER reverse type depicting Victory standing left leaning on shield and holding palm, beneath shield a seated captive. This coin is contemporary copy combining an obverse of Philip I with a reverse type of Gordian III (AD 238-244). cf. RIC IV.3, p. 31, no. 154 for the reverse type.
