Unique ID: DUR-04EE27

Object type certainty: Certain

A pair of flint scrapers of probable Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithics are sub-rectangular in profile and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surfaces of both lithics feature multiple negative scars with corresponding arrises. On the ventral surface of one lithic there is clear evidence of a bulb of percussion with associated cracking ripples. The proximal portions of the lithics have been semi-abruptly retouched. No cortex is present, so both are tertiary.

The lithics range in colour from brown to light grey, with light grey/cream inclusions on both.
