Fragment of Roman tin-coated copper alloy brooch, probably a Colchester Derivative Rearhook or wing-and-fanbow, Mackreth 2011, CD RH 7.b, an incomplete fantail with most of the curving base present with the catchplate surviving as a stump on the reverse. Decoration comprises a single, plain, median rib. Extant length 19.1mm. Estimated width 28mm. c.43 - c.65.
