An incomplete copper alloy book clasp. A rectangular plate with a flaring end, one corner of which is missing. There is a central circular hole at this end. At the opposite end is the remnant of a narrow projecting hook. The hook curves toward the back of the plate. The front of the plate is decorated with a raised dsign of several rows of pellets and a shield containing two pellets flanking a possible bird. The plate is bent forward and split. The rear is undecorated.
