A complete copper alloy toggle of Iron Age to Roman date. The toggle is of the dumbbell type comprising two hemispherical terminals joined by a central cylindrical shaft. Integral raised collars are present where the shaft and terminals meet.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn.
The toggle is 20.11mm long, 7.22mm in diameter at the terminals, 4.89mm in diameter at the shaft and weighs 3.31g.
