Complete post medieval, 17th century, two part circular, lead cloth seal of the Norwich Weavers guild, dated AD.1657. The obverse of this seal, has the NOR/WIC/H stamped on it while the reverse contains the letters HDR/1657/[B]CSP/KL. The letters before the date on the reverse are the surname initials of the Norwich wardens for the year and those after are the Norfolk, county wardens, these are listed as Jhn Pleasance, Chris Richer, Walter Barkham, Willm Hardingham, Jehosephat Davy, Samuel Rawling and the Norfolk wardens were - Robt Beare, Thos Church, Anth Edwards, John Mercer, John Knight, Chris Lym. These are found in Norwich Mayor's Court Book held at the Norfolk Record office under reference: NCR Case 16a/24,(fol. 68v) and a transcription can be found in Egan 1987, appendix 6.
