Lead button fragment. Cast oval button with rust spot on the back suggesting the loss of a separate drawn iron wire loop; the button front appears gently plano-convex when viewed in profile. The area around the putative loop is indented in a possibly lobed figure, and a rim also appears on the back. Save for more severe deterioration of the metal at the centre, there is no indication of decoration on the front. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1700.
