A fragment of a post-Medieval copper-alloy spur (c. 1500-c. 1700).
This fragment is part of one side with an integral terminal.
The side is pointed-oval in cross section but close to the terminal the outer face is carinated. At the break it has a width and thickness of 9.1 x 4.1mm and at the terminal the width and thickness is 5.8 x 3.3mm. The side meets the figure-8 terminal and the two loops are opposite each other. These have a width of 13.3mm and thickness of 3.3mm. The fragment has an even shiny dark green patina.
There is no indication of any decoration or surface treatment. The break is old.
