A cast copper-alloy ring of a type often suggested to be medieval or post-medieval harness rings (Geake, 2001, Finds Recording Guide, page 74), dating from AD 1200 - 1800, though they are typically undiagnostic. Further, Geake (ibid., 74) suggests that the broadly hexagonal cross-section which this ring possesses probably indicates a medieval date; it is bevelled externally and internally at the edge. It has a dark grey green patina with very clear filemarks on both faces. The ring is particularly worn on the inner face at one point. It is 25.7mm diameter, 2.9mm thick and 3.98g.
