An incomplete Post Medieval half groat of James I, second coinage, dating from AD 1604-1619. Second issue, initial mark illegible, Tower mint of London. C.f North 1991 Vol II, no. 2104. The coin is relatively worn, with c. 20% of its surface area missing due to an irregular break at around 6 o'clock of the obverse.
