Copper-alloy probable finger ring made from a re-used Roman bracelet. The ring is 19mm long, 15mm wide and 6mm thick with a weight of 2.74g. It is formed of a decorated strip which has a rounded terminal containing a central circular hole. This now lies over the other end where it has been used with a projection (probably a separate copper-alloy rivet) to fix the object into a loop. It is decorated with a thin central ridge flanked by a groove at each side, with a notched outer border to either side. This decoration would suggest that the object has been created from a fragment of a Roman bracelet.
