Fragment of decorated medieval, 13th-14th century Surrey white ware, Kingston ware type baluster, 1200-1500. The sherd is a part of a rose decoration from a polychrome kingston ware cylindrical necked baluster. The rose petals are coloured orange-red with a central yellow glazed boss in the center of the flower, this has a central circular indentation within an impressed ring. The vessel would likely have been predominantly yellow glazed with linear decoration in green to supplement a number of applied roses.
