An Early Medieval to Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, wedge-shaped in profile. The fitting includes a fragment of an oval loop terminal. From this loop the object expands to a raised boss on one side. On the opposite end is one side of a bifurcating grip, whose decoration is probably intended to be zoomorphic. This is not pierced for attachment so any attachment point must have been on the missing side. The lower side of the fitting is flat.
