Fragment of Roman grey ware vessel with cross hatched decoration, AD.43-410. The sherd has a broad rim perpendicular to the wall of the vessel. The sherd is decorated with a hand drawn cross hatched design on the exterior surface. There are turning rings visible on the interior and some ridges on the exterior where the vessel has been smoothed down. The fabric is cream, white with some black inclusions and the surface is a reduced grey colour.
