Group B type rod microlith of Late Mesolithic date (6500 - 4000 BC). The flint is a dark brown, opaque, tertiary flake. It is sub-rectangular shaped in plan and sub-triangular in section and has been broken/snapped off at the proximal end. There is short, sub-parallel, abrupt, soft hammer retouch to the extent of the left hand side, carried out from the dorsal face. It is 17.1mm long x 5.2mm wide x 1.8mm thick and weighs .21g.
