Copper alloy thimble. Pressed metal conical thimble with a plain lower wall and the upper wall covered with finely machine stamped circular pits appearing arranged in left to right ascending lines. The top, which is heavily stained by ferrous corrosion, appears to have had smaller pits in concentric circles. The base of the wall is frayed. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.
