Fragment of Roman mosaic flooring consisting of 4 joined tesserae, AD.50-410. The tessera are irregular cuboids in shape and made from Marble or hard limestone. They are pale cream/white in colour and connected by a hard whitish mortar. The upper surface of the floor is worn smooth through use while the lower remains sharper. The fragment is roughtly square with a small inset in one corner where a stone is missing.
