A fragment of a Roman copper alloy rosette brooch, dating to the early 1st century AD. All that remains is part of the cylindrical head with traces of the iron spring pin still in situ, and part of the circular disc. The object is a mid-dark brown with patches of light green patina. On the circular disc fragment are traces of a white metal coating.
A similar but complete example can be found in Hattatt (1985, no. 285) and dates to the early 1st century AD.
