A complete copper-alloy nail of Unknown date, possibly post-Medieval (c. 1500-c. 1800).
The damaged head is sub-circular in plan and measures 10.9 x 9.7mm. It is bevelled on the underside. The tapering shank is mainly circular in cross-section but is square in cross-section close to the point.
This nail is light brown.
Length: 38.4mm; length if straightened: 46.6mm; diameter of shank beneath the head: 4.6mm. Weight: 5.61g.
The nail was found close to a water-mill.
