An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy eye section of a dress fastener. dating to the 17th century AD. Read Early Post Medieval Class A, Type 8. The remains of the object consist of an oval plate bearing possible foliate and floriate design with a beaded border; rounded attachment-knops, the end one with a projecting rounded collar; a debased bifurcate ornamental knop either side; the eye section is damaged with part of the end section missing. It measures 37.4mm long, 22mm wide, 1.66mm thick and weighs 6.26 grams.
