A gold mourning finger ring dating to the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century AD. The finger ring is plain on the outside but engraved with a skull, the hoop bent in the middle. In the inside of the hoop is an engraved inscription in italic lower case in remembrance of R. P [or B] and maker's mark of a Roman capital R in an irregularly-shaped shield.
