Handle fragment from a Surrey/Hampshire border earthenware vessel, most likely a skillet, dating to the Post Medieval period, AD1551-1700. The fabric is a light redddish brown in colour with a grey reduction layer through the centre. The fabric contains fine inclusions. A green glaze is visible.
A parallel of this handle can be seen on a skillet on the 'Museum of London Ceremic and Glass Catalogue', Accession No: 6011.
