A Medieval small silver bar mount with terminal and central lobes c. 1270-1400 AD. The central lobe has a circular perforation 2.9mmin diameter. Both terminal lobes have a smaller circular perforation, less than 1mm in diameter.
The mount is 14.7mm long, 4.5mm wide, 2.2mm thick and weighs 0.47 grams.
Similar copper-alloy versions recorded as 15th Century in Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories, London 1991, no. 1161. Silver examples have been recorded as Treasure cases, eg: 2009 T247, 2008 T733 and 2010 T787.
