Incomplete Roman copper alloy plate brooch with a domed boss and hinged pin. Part of a pierced lug or loop above the pin lug, one side lug, the catchplate, the adjoining part of the dome and the lug missing. Mackreth 2011, British, Plate 6a, as pl. 108, no. 11577. The dome is adorned with two concentric rings of triangular cells inlaid with alternating blue and yellow enamel. Diameter (excluding lugs) 21.6mm. 2nd century
