Complete Roman carved red stone, possibly carnelian, intaglio of a hound chasing a hare, AD.43-410. The stone has been cut into an oval shape and is bevelled the obverse side being wider than the reverse. The stone is red with some black impurities running through in bands or flecks. The image has a hare running left with a Hound in pursuit on the right. There is a branch in leaf that curves from the right of the image round the top of it.
