A pair of complete flint worked flakes of Mesolithic date (9000-3450BC). The lithics are sub-triangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains 4 predominant negative scars with corresponding arises. The left and right hand edges of both lithics contain semi-abrupt retouch. The proximal edge of lithic 1 has been abruptly blunted while the proximal edge of lithic 2 contains a notched aspect. The ventral surfaces are predominantly smooth with some shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the proximal end in lithic 1 and a negative scar containing ripples of percussion in lithic 2. The lithics retain no cortex and are therefore tertiary flakes.
The flint is a cream in colour with white inclusions.
