A complete flint worked flake of Mesolithic date (9000-3450BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains multiple predominant negative scars with corresponding arises. The proximal edge has been abruptly blunted while the distal, right and left hand edges show short, parallel, semi abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is predominantly smooth with some negative scarring towards the proximal and right hand edges. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.
The flint is a grey in colour.
