Bisecting the reverse is a high casting seam, and in the centre of the seam there is an incomplete integral loop. The surface of the button has an oxidised matte cream patina. The diameter across the head is 25mm, 12.43mm deep and it weighs 17.92g.
A similar button cannot be found from a dated context at present, but it is thought to date to the 16th to 17th centuries.
