Silver coin. Penny of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), fourth issue of 1578-1579, Spink no. 2575. In good condition suggesting deposition after a short period in circulation; lightly clipped and bent into a wavy reverse S profile.

Obverse description: Bust left.

Obverse inscription: E;D;G:ROSA.SINE.SPINA

Reverse description: Shield of Arms of England and France, long cross, mintmark Greek cross (7).

Reverse inscription: CIVI/[TAS/L]ON/DON
