Middle to late Saxon lead nummular brooch of Weetch's type 2.Aii, moulded decoration consisting of small cross pattee within inner border, garbled legend in high relief and pelleted outer border. Slightly squashed catchplate aligned with the outer edge containing a corroded fragment of the iron pin and an incomplete single transverse pin lug on reverse. Diameter 24.5mm. Maximum thickness of disc 2mm. weighs 7.55g. 9th or 10th century.
