Complete mesolithic to neolithic miniature flint adze. This is a small adze, it has been shaped so that it can be set into a haft, tapering slightly towards the butt. There are several large flake scars at the butt end of the tool while the cutting edge has been retouched and knapped more finely. The flint is grey-brown in colour and there is a black resinous concretion towards the butt, though this is most likely from its deposition environment.
