A Mesolithic to Early Neolithic flint blade (10000 BC-3501 BC).
This tertiary blade is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section. The dorsal face is divided longitudinally by a single median arris. Removals around the edge of the dorsal face have been interpreted as damage rather than retouch. The ventral face has undulating ripples but no bulb of percussion and it is possible that the proximal end has been truncated.
The blade has a shiny greyish black patina overall. It was found on the surface within the inter-tidal zone.
