A cast irregular flattened pyramid-shaped lead weight with a rectangular base. A hole has been punched through the apex of the weight. The weight is undecorated apart from a circle scored on the base using a central point. The weight is complete, and is a light grey white colour. The surface is worn and has cut marks.
The weight measures 45.8mm high, 26.1mm long by 19.4mm wide at the base: 9.5mm long by 6.2mm wide at the top. The hole is 2.4mm in diameter. It weighs 117g.
Lead weights made of simple forms were easy to manufacture and used throughout a long period; they are therefore difficult to date precisely and those with similar designs to this example are often given a general Roman-Post Medieval date.
