A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast, lead alloy uniface token, dating to c. AD 1250-1800; Powell type 14. The token is decorated on one side with a raised cross. The other side is undecorated and flat. The token is a white colour. The token is an irregular thickness, and is thicker on one edge. It measures 16.4mm in diameter, is 5.1mm thick on the maximum edge, and weighs 7.1g.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture and circulate; they are therefore difficult to date exactly but those with simple designs are given a wider date range of Medieval to Post Medieval.
