A probable Roman fragment from a large vessel. The exterior has hard, rough surfaces. The obverse is dull grey with considerable fine calcite, some mica and quartzite. The reverse is red-pink and with voids, quartzite, sparse mica and grit. The fabric is reduced red-pink with grey patches, mica, quartzite and calcite inclusions. Fractures are worn; three irregular and one hackly. It is dated to between c43 to c410 AD and is lightly abraded.

The length is 40mm, width 35mm, thickness 5mm and the weight, 7.39g.
