Incomplete Roman copper alloy plate brooch, with the pin and one terminal missing. Mackreth 2011, PL CONT 2.d1. The flat and lozengiform main part is inlaid with enamel, probably red in a central round cell and four white roundels surrounded by blue in a large outer cell (cf. Hattatt 2000, fig. 207, no. 571). There are no side lugs. The incomplete surviving terminal is decorated with punched double concentric ring-and-dots and on its reverse there is an incomplete double lug for a hinged pin. Extant length and width 28.3 and 18mm. 2nd century.
