A copper-alloy sexfoil mount of unknown date, probably Medieval to Post Medieval.
The mount, which has been stamped from a piece of sheet, has a sub-conical central portion, at the apex of which is a rivet hole. Six grooves radiate outwards from this hole, dividing the surface into six equal-sized petals, each of which extends to a point.
