Unidentified and undated object made from cast copper alloy and iron. The object has a hollow, plano-convex section with an iron core. Iron corrosion products are also present on the object's flat back. The main part of the object appears to have been parallel sided but has been damaged and truncated, resulting in the loss of most of what much have been a D shaped socket which contained iron. The other end of the object is narrowed and constists of a transverse moulding from which extends an expanding projection. This has angled faces and terminates in a transverse fracture. Detail of the object are obscured by iron corrosion. Length 45.8mm, Width 20.0mm, Thickness 9.7mm, Mass 20.74g.
