An incomplete late Early-Medieval copper-alloy openwork strap end, Thomas Class E, c. AD 900 - 1100. It is trapezoidal in plan terminating below the attachment end with an old break. The attachment end is a single solid flange with two rivet holes through it, one of which retains a rivet. The plate, including the front of the attachment flange, is decorated with foliate motifs in relief. There is not another of the strap end remaining to identify the type.
The strap end is 21.5mm long, 17.6mm thick and weighs 4.39 grams.
