A flint scraper of probable Neolithic date (c. 4000- 2350 BC). The scraper is struck off a secondary flake and retains c. 1% cortex on the dorsal face. The dorsal surface exhibits a single negative flake scar from previous flake removal. It exhibits a combination of long and short abrupt sub-parallel retouch extending from the distal end along both mesal edges to the striking platform at the proximal end. The ventral face exhibits a low, diffuse bulb of percussion and a series of concentric conchoidal ripple marks. The flint is a mottled buff-mid-grey colour with some iron staining.
The scraper measures 30.59mm in length, 37.56mm in width, is 12.82mm thick and weighs 17.74g.
