Gold signet finger ring that has an oval bezel inscribed with the letters C I in reverse. Separating and extending above and below the letters is a looping interlace. Surrounding the design is a linear and pellet border. Around the outer edge of the bezel is a band of pellets. Decorating the tapering shoulders at the top recessed panel with a stippled infill, below is a foliate design of a trefoil leaf in the centre and a further leaf to either side. The hoop has an oval cross section and is undecorated.
This artefact dates to the late 16th to mid 17th century
