A fragment of a lead alloy seal matrix of medieval date. When complete the fragment would have formed part of a pointed oval seal matrix c.13th century. In the centre is the top of a cut notch which would have formed the top of the motif within the seal. Around the edge of the object is a legend which is largely missing apart from a cross potent and a colon at the start of the legend. To the rear of the object is a rounded attachment loop which has been damaged. The object has a light cream-brown patina and can be dated from AD 1200-1400AD.
