A cast copper alloy knife end-stop dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is oval in cross-section with a square sectioned terminal and is decorated with five circular collars of varying circumference. The square terminal is decorated around its sides with a series of squares. The central larger collar is decorated with a series of three bands of pellets.
At the base of the object is a slot which contains the remains of the iron tang which is corroded. The object has a light green patina and is in fair condition.
The object is similar in form to seal top spoons which are dated c. AD1550-1650. A similar example which can be found on the database is LVPL-081291, https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/634325.
